Transatlantic

As we take flight on our around- the- world trip, we felt it fitting to dedicate the front page of our blog [even though we don’t know how to blog yet] to our good friend Ken Townsley. He has been invaluable to us as he helped me plan, rationalize and organize every step through 12 of the 19 countries we are touring over the next four months . Our trip will be over land and by plane.

In June of 2010, we started this extraordinary year of travel and birthdays by celebrating our friend Ken's 65th birthday on board the Queen Mary, doing a most traditional crossing from Southampton, England, to New York City. Ken arranged every detail and thanks to him we lived in a trance… lavished in luxury for 6 nights and 7 days as we crossed the Atlantic with our good friends Victor, David and Ken. In New York, we met our pal, Neil. There we all agreed to meet in Bangkok in October, our 9th stop on our around- the -world adventure celebrating Nanci's 70th. Someone asked, “Would I do it again…yes... with family and friends we like as much…yes we would do it again! SSS
